Job Title:  Software Engineer I (Database Administrator)

Location – India

Number of position – 1

Shift – India Time Zone

Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Work closely with software development teams to design stable, reliable and effective databases that meets business requirements
    • Design, develop and review queries, views, stored procedures/functions according to requirements, industry standards and best practices
    • Analyze and improve query performance through indexing and rewriting query
    • Troubleshoot database issues and provide timely solutions / suggestions and communicate to customer / development and support teams
    • Maintain database tables and columns documentations and ER diagrams
    • Carry out database administration tasks such as installation/configuration, user/schema management, backup/restore, etc as well as automating routing tasks through scripting
    • Monitor database systems and perform tuning and capacity planning to maintain maximum performance.

    Qualifications: 

    • BS degree or above preferably in Computer Science
    • 2+ years of database development and administration related work experience

    Key Skills:

    • Solid work experience and in-depth knowledge of at least one of Oracle or MS SQL Server
    • Good knowledge of MS Windows and Linux systems
    • Strong programming, analytical, problem solving and communication skills
    • Being a good team player
    • Good understanding and experience of the below is preferred
      • database clustering
      • disaster recovery setup
      • cloud technology
      Knowledge of Java, JDBC and ORM tools like Hibernate is a big plus

Software Engineer II/ Technical Writer

Job Title:  Software Engineer II/ Technical Writer

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • The successful applicant will be responsible for creating technical documents and manuals, explain complex information in a clear and concise manner and working with the engineering teams to ensure accuracy of product descriptions.
  • Independently handle complex technical guides including Installation guides, configuration guides, release notes, API documentation, and relevant documents.
  • Develop User Manuals, FAQ Guides, and Connector Guides. Develop comprehensive documentation that meets organizational standards.
  • Acquire a deep understanding of products to translate complex product information into simple, concise, and engaging content.
  • Evaluate current content and develop innovative approaches for improvement.
  • Ability to work on multiple deliverable simultaneously under time constraints.
  • Research, outline, write, and edit new and existing content, working closely with various departments to understand project requirements as per DDLC methodologies.
  • Independently gather information from subject matter experts to develop, organize, and write procedure manuals, technical specifications, and process documentation.
  • Coordinate with various cross-functional teams for peer review of documents, and incorporate review feedback.

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant technical field.
  • 2-4 years’ industry experience as an effective technical writer.
  • Must be well-versed with Adobe FrameMaker, Adobe Acrobat, Madcap Flare, Visio, and MS-Office applications.
  • Must have excellent English grammar skills, and must be proficient in verbal and written communication.
  • Must have working knowledge of developing documentation from single-source and create output in various formats including Web Help, PDF, and MS-Word.
  • Proven ability to quickly learn and understand complex topics, and work under minimum supervision.
  • Previous experience writing documentation and procedural materials for multiple audiences.
  • Independently install and run applications to understand application deployment and configuration.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Experience working with engineering teams to improve user experience: design, UI, and help refine content; and create visuals and diagrams for technical support content.

Key Skills:

  • Actual hands-on experience in creating, editing, and reviewing technical documentation.
  • Should be able to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Must have worked on Enterprise Software and hands on implementation experience is a plus.
  • Experience using XML tools to create technical documentation.
